Threaded Round Bumpers
Our threaded round bumpers feature a tough, solid urethane core surrounded by a durable exterior that withstands repeated impact. They are commonly used to guard, align, and position parts on automated machinery, assembly stations, and material handling equipment.
The integrated threaded stud makes installation and removal fast, which minimizes machine downtime during maintenance. Male thread bumpers and male thread hex shoulder bumpers include a rigid steel stud for secure fastening into virtually any surface. Multiple diameter and thread size combinations are available in stock, and we can produce custom configurations to match your specific equipment requirements.
Rectangular with Metal Plate
For applications that require a broader contact surface and rigid mounting, our rectangular bumpers with a metal plate provide a 1/8" thick metal plate bonded to the bumper base for added reinforcement. These bumpers are frequently used to guard, align, and position parts in machining centers, fabrication cells, and automated lines.
Each rectangular bumper includes drilled unthreaded (through) holes to accommodate your mounting bolts. The urethane body is firm and durable, built to handle repeated contact without deforming. We also offer options with an aluminum base plate for environments where corrosion resistance is a priority, such as food processing, washdown areas, or outdoor installations.
Die-Set Bumpers
Our die-set bumpers are manufactured using Die-Thane compounds specifically formulated for metal stamping and press operations. Stock lengths start at 4" with longer options available in 1" increments. Stock hardness is 90 Shore A (Red), and other hardness levels are available for applications that require different deflection characteristics.
Die-set bumpers from Polyurethane Products reduce the rate of die spring failure, lower snap-through impact loads, and put less mechanical strain on gibs. They can also serve as stripper springs within the die, substantially reducing noise levels on the shop floor. The net result is longer tooling life and a safer, quieter work environment.
