Urethane V-Pads
Urethane v-pads for metal forming are the most economical and easy to use method of making mar-free bends in pre-polished stainless steel, aluminum and pre-finished surfaces (painted, vinyl coated).
Perfect, straight bends are possible even on older press brakes with the bed being wavey or not perfectly parallel, just by placing a V-pad in the steel V-Die. As long as the punch is straight, a perfect straight bend is formed every time. With the polyurethane die V-Pads, there is no need for shimming or expensive Adustable Die Holders.
- Triangular shaped urethane pads in different sizes just drop into corresponding size steel V-Dies.
- As long as the punch is straight, you make a perfect straight bend every time.
- V-Pads are available in sizes to fit standard Steel V-Dies with openings: 1/2”, 1”, 1-1/2” & 2”.
- Standard Lengths: Up to 8Ft. For longer bends, butt pads end to end, with no gap.
Polyurethane pads for metal forming are ideal for bending Aluminum Diamond Plates or Checkered Plates, without smashing the diamond shapes. Radius bends of up to 1/2”R in 10Ga. Aluminum diamond plates.
For short flanges that do not span the full width of the v-opening of a steel V-Die, inserting a V-Pad in the V-Die fills the gap & enable bending flanges as short as 2-3 times metal thickness.
