Hard Faced Urethane Punch Stripper
This revolutionary new hard faced urethane punch stripper incorporates two grades of Urethane integrally molded, in the liquid state, and then heat cured. The hard 75 shore D will help with wrinkling and allow for custom punch tip shapes and sizes.
Hard-Faced Strippers
The hard face on this design of close end strippers offer a much rigid encapsulation around the punch body, thus reducing the possibility of “reverse dimpling" when the punch is retracting after punching the sheet metal. This is important in hole shapes that have sharp corners (such as a star-shaped hole). This revolutionary new design incorporates two grades of Urethane integrally molded, in the liquid state, and then heat cured.
- The body of the Closed-End Punch stripper is made of a flexible, softer Urethane elastomer: 80A,or 90A, or 95A enabling deflections of 35%, 25% and 15% respectively.
- The 75 shore D durometer Hard face is elastic, durable and does not mark the surface of the sheet metal.(unlike Plastic faces which are not elastic, and do not have memory)
- For odd shaped holes, or for shapes with sharp corners, the hard face works similar to a metallic stripper plate, that is machined to match the shape of the punch tip.
