Solid Cast Steel Overhead Crane Bumpers
Solid cast bumpers are a single-piece molded type, with steel screen reinforcements in the base plate for enhanced strength and rigidity. This unique design eliminates the possibility of the bumper portion separating from the mounting base plate – which can sometimes occur in steel base plate designs.
In addition to its advantage in strength and reliability, this design of crane bumper is typically much lighter than a similarly-sized steel base plate design. Polyurethane Products manufactures high-performance solid cast overhead crane bumpers in a single-piece molded configuration. The bumper body is integrally molded to the base, with reinforcing expanded metal screen(s) molded within the base for maximum durability.
Steel Base Plate Overhead Crane Bumpers
Manufactured in all common sizes from 2” to 12” diameter as well as custom sizes, our steel plate base crane bumpers feature four bolt holes in a steel base bonded to the cylindrical bumper. Each bumper is manufactured from high-performance polyurethane elastomer bumper body that is cylindrical shaped, and is bonded perpendicular to a square, steel base plate with 4 mounting holes. The bumper has an integrally molded ‘safety-hook’, designed for safety cable anchoring.
Single-Bolt Overhead Crane Bumpers
Our “Poly-Pro” “B” Series crane bumpers feature a single-bolt, direct-mount configuration. Just like our other products, these bumpers are manufactured from high-performance polyurethane designed for maximum reliability in modern factories and job sites. The cylindrical bumper body is molded with an integrated washer and threaded bolt at the bottom for direct installation, as well as an integrated safety cable hook. Like our solid cast and steel base plate overhead bumpers, our single-bolt configurations are available in standard sizes ranging from 2” to 12” diameters and custom sizing for specialized applications.
